Skywriter Plane Screen Saver 1.1

Did you know that you could send a message using your screensaver? No, I don’t mean that you select images that convey a specific message and use those images as your screensaver. I mean a good looking screensaver that actually spells something out on the desktop.

With the Acez Software-developed application Skywriter Plane Screen Saver you can use your screensaver to convey a message. After you install the screensaver, you can use it to convey up to 5 messages. You get to select what these messages are. There are some limitations though – each message can be composed of only 2 words; and each word has to be 5 letters long.

How is the message conveyed? The screensaver displays what seems to be the blue sky. Then a red airplane appears and writes your message on the virtual sky. You can select the speed of the plane, you can select the message delay, and you can select what type of sound the plane makes. The sound options are: propeller, sea plane, low pitch, medium pitch, and high pitch. If you don’t want to hear anything, you can simply turn the sound off.

Between each message the airplane will draw funny faces on the virtual sky. If you don’t like them, you can disable them.

Before you rush off to get Skywriter Plane Screen Saver, pay attention to these technical details:

Download – the download weighs in little over 1.5MB, which means that it should only take a moment for the download to complete.

Installation – you can install Skywriter Plane Screen Saver on just about any version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. Pay attention during the installation process because Skywriter Plane Screen Saver comes bundled with a few extras – RelevantKnowledge, Dealio toolbar, and a free version of The Weather Channel Desktop. If you don’t want these extra bits, click “Decline” and they will not be installed. Because Skywriter Plane Screen Saver comes bundled with these extras, your antivirus application may flag the screensaver as dangerous and not let you download/install it.

Limitations – there are no limitations. Skywriter Plane Screen Saver is freeware (it is freeware because it comes bundled with the extras I mentioned above).

Skywriter Plane Screen Saver puts a virtual airplane on your desktop and lets it write a message on it.
